1994 - 2009
Toby, the pet belonging to my brother and sister-in-law has passed away to day, a couple of weeks short of his 15th birthday.
He was the runt of the litter when he was born, but he has outlived all his other siblings. He always knew who family was, and wanted fussing and he never once growled at me. My brother Kevin, sister-in-law Sandra, niece Katrina and nephew Kelvin will miss him dreadfully, as I did my pet dog when she passed away

It is the 39th birthday of my eldest niece Jill today - it is her last birthday in her 30s - so I hope she makes the most of this year!
Jill is the eldest child of my twin sister Jill and her first husband Bill, who died on 24 October 1999.

Two birthdays today!
My nephew Peter Frank Clay turns 29-years-old and my great-nephew Luke Thomas John Bowler turns 17-years-old.
Peter is the only son of my sister Karen and her ex-husband Pete and Luke is the son of my niece Jennine and her partner Darren.

It is my great niece's birthday today. Charlotte Elizabeth is 17-years-old. She is the daughter of my niece Susan and her partner Chris. they also have another child, Alishia Skye, who is two years old.
Susan is the daughter to my sister June and her ex-husband Michael.
I have sent Charlotte a card with her mum, and no doubt, knowing our Charlotte, she shall be out celebrating her birthday with some alcoholic juice of some sort!

Also, today is my Uncle Dave's 82nd birthday. He is the husband of my mother's sister, my Aunty Jean, and they have three children. My cousins Valerie, Diane and Elaine.

Yesterday was the christenings of the grandchildren of my close friends Vanessa and Michele. Michele's grandson from her daughter, Jack, and all three grandchildren of my friend Vanessa were christened at St Wilfred's church, Kirkby.
Kacie, Alfie, Archie and Jack were christened at 10am and afterwards we held the celebrations back at our local club, where Vanessa is the stewardess, the Coronation Social Club, affectionately known as the 'Corra'. We celebrated throughout the afternoon and into the evening, where I left the club at about 11.30pm. I even helped Vanessa serve on the bar until it was time for her staff to come on at midday.
We had a lovely day all-in-all and I really loved the day throughout!

It is my sister's daughter's birthday today. Lisa Marie, born one after the death of rock legend Elvis Presely, and named after his daughter has turned 32 today.
Lisa is the daughter of my sister Karen and her ex-husband Peter. Lisa has a son and daughter from different relationships.

Katrina is the daughter of my brother Kevin and my sister-in-law Sandra. She is married and has two children, Elizabeth and James. I have sent her a birthday card.

I am 43-years-old and live in a groundfloor flat in my hometown of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, in Nottinghamshire.
I am disabled so living in a groundfloor flat is ideally suited for me.
I have my Mam, one brother and three sisters. My mother is married to my stepfather Mac. My father, Ted, died on New Year's Eve 2001.
